NCCP Intro to Competition (replaces old Level 1 Technical & Theory)
NCCP - Intro to Competition Coach - This NEW certified course targets coaches instructing kids 10 and older (Mini, Bantam, Midget and Juvenile). This is a replacement for LEVEL 1 and "New" Head Coaches who plan to have their teams participate in our 2009 Provincial Tournaments are required to have this course.
The course has 3 components (Making Ethical Decisions, Practice Planning and On-Court Modified Games) and takes 2 days (16-17) hours to complete. Rationale is it combines both the old Level 1 Theory and Technical courses and is Basketball and age specific for who your are coaching. The quality and depth of the Training is what Sport Canada, Canada Basketball and BNS say we need our Coaches working with young basketball players to be educated on.
Clinics
Please note this program consists of 4 separate pieces offered as 2 full days of training or 4 part days. These can be taken separately so when registering, please confirm what you are registering for. The first 3 parts are all in a classroom and the last session is in the gym (gym shoes required).
